Lampje

'Make something you can already do' was the exam assignment for the Creative Craftsman course at the Hout- en Meubileringscollege, where I obtained my diploma in 2024. Headstrong and fascinated by the process of steam bending—a technique I had not yet mastered—I made Table and Lamp.

 

Lampje is inspired by the organic forms of Art Nouveau. The flowing lines of the light steam-bent ash wood with sustainable LED lighting contrast with the dark square walnut base. Tap the right spot on the base and the dimmable lamp switches on and off.

 

I won the Masterly Young Talent Award in Milan in 2025, with this design.
